Randall “Dolph” Janis has been in the financial services industry focused on retirement since 2005, and he has built a strong network of satisfied clients in Charlotte as well as multiple states around the country. He founded Clear Income Strategies Group in 2015 as an independent, fiduciary firm with access to hundreds of strategies from multiple reputable financial institutions, instead of being captive to just one, as many brokerages and insurance agencies are structured.
Dolph believes strongly that independence is required for truly unbiased advice, and that each client should be treated like a close friend or family member. That includes making himself available 24/7. He and the team he has built around him at CISG prides itself on its caring family atmosphere, attention to detail, community involvement, client events and appreciation activities, and ongoing dedication in keeping all retirement plans current and up to date through both life and economic changes.
Dolph considers himself an educator first, and an advisor second. “I founded Clear Income Strategies in early 2015 with the goal of helping educate individuals and families about strategies they can use to plan for their retirement futures. We believe in the family approach of teaching, communicating, and caring. Our overall goal for everyone’s retirement is both protection of assets as well as peace of mind. And you must focus on income first,” he says. “Every member of our staff has a designated role to help with each and every client. Communication is so vital with CISG. From touch calls to review letters, special events, newsletters, to birthdays and more. Staying in contact is so important because things can change over the years, and we specialize in keeping your plan and your accounts up to date.”
Currently licensed in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Michigan, Nevada, Arizona, Florida, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts, Dolph has won numerous industry awards as an elite advisor. He loves to help people, and as part of his educational approach, he is the host of the “Guard Your Savings” podcast, hosted a radio show on WPT for over 10 years, and appears regularly on Retirement News Online.
Dolph has also been featured in more than 24 financial publications, including Forbes, Fortune, and Money, in order to share his knowledge and expertise with a wider audience. And he has written and published an important book, “Cross the Bridge to Retirement,” that helps educate consumers on the importance of retirement strategies.
One of the main reasons Dolph chose to be a financial advisor was to help people reach their personal goals and dreams for a stress-free retirement. “I really want to help you take action and know that you will never run out of money because we’ve created a plan including tax-advantaged income streams for you. I want you to always have peace of mind in your life,” he says. “I will tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear. We will find your solution together as it is not a one-size-fits-all retirement plan. Everyone is different and we want to be there by your side to help make sure you understand all aspects of your financial future in retirement.”
Dolph says the best part of his job is seeing the joy and happiness of people who are comfortable in life and in retirement. “I focus on protection first, because it is so important to keep what is yours instead of risking too much stock market loss or paying too much in taxes. We’ll help you consider your whole plan, and help you diversify,” Dolph says. “Being an independent advisor allows me to work with nearly every company out there, not just one. I love teaching people about strategies that they might not have heard about before.”
“My approach is simple. I am here for whoever is sitting in front of me and whoever is part of my business family. Whatever you need, no matter what time of day, I will do everything in my power to make it happen. You will never be forgotten or overlooked. We focus on you throughout your life and stay in touch with you often.”
Clear Income Strategies Group never charges a personal fee, and their mission is for clients to never to lose money in the stock market. “First, we create a plan for you to have income for life. We also want to make sure you have a plan for long-term care, that you mitigate your tax burden, and that you provide a tax-advantaged legacy to your loved ones,” Dolph says.
Born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Dolph received his Bachelor of Science degrees in political science, criminal justice, and communication. He is a member of the St. Matthew Catholic Church in Charlotte. He is also a member of the Providence Country Club, where he’s sponsored professional golfers in the past. Community involvement is a huge part of Dolph’s personal and professional life, and he feels it is so important to give back. “I’m a big fan of supporting charities and nonprofits like Second Harvest, The Charlotte Rescue Mission, and many others.
Dolph lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, with his wife, Veronica Janis, and the couple has one daughter whom they adore. He is a lifelong learner, and he loves one-liners and analogies. He is also an open book. “Ask me anything, but don’t ask the question unless you are ready to hear the answer,” he quips. In his free time, he enjoys golf, travel, family time, puzzles, and animals, with cats being his favorite.
